Required Staff Dates:
• Spring training dates detailed in application.
• Staff dinner on May 26th at 6pm.
• Move in day: May 27th. The only exceptions to be made are graduations & family weddings.
A Letter From our Director About Summer Staff:
I truly believe that NGCC is one of the greatest places on Earth... I grew up here, I attended camp here, I worked here when I was in high school and loved it so much that I continued working every summer through college. A job as a summer staff CAN be a highlight of your life, but you need to understand that you will only get out of it what you are willing to put into it... If you get tired easily - both physically or mentally - if you seem to always have a bad attitude, if you don't enjoy being around students, if you don't like being told what to do, if you have a hard time with physical labor, if you aren't excited about the work Jesus is doing, if you cannot be separated from your phone, if you need "personal space" often, and/or if you don't like hanging out with other people, laughing, and participating in random - sometimes silly - events, this job MIGHT NOT BE (probably isn't) FOR YOU. Also, please keep in mind that we depend on a staff that is emotionally and spiritually mature. We need our staff to be leaders who can pour into our campers, volunteers, deans, and each other throughout the entire summer.

Summer Staff:
Our staff make the entire operation of NGCC possible. Here at NGCC we operate as one big team! All staff will train together, live together, and work together for much of the day. All camp staff lives/sleeps at camp for the full summer and will have meals provided for them. Daily they rotate in and out of the kitchen, through the ropes course, lifeguarding at the pool, and keeping the camp clean along the way. When in the kitchen, staff may find them selves directly supporting our camp cook with meal prep or serving campers their food and cleaning up after everyone. All throughout the day, staff will have opportunity to lead campers in various camp games and activities, all while keeping everyone safe and having fun while doing so. Any given day staff can expect to run the zip-line, serve snacks at canteen, send campers up the rock wall, and so much more! Staff should have the ability to find joy in mundane tasks - such as chopping veggies in a hot kitchen for an hour - as well as be able to take advantage of teachable moments when interacting with campers.
We require our staff to strive for quality of service, adherence to safety protocol, and to have the understanding that both the “behind the scenes” jobs as well as the in-front-of-camper jobs are essential to the ministry of North Georgia Christian Camp.
All staff are required to become CPR & Lifeguard Certified by April 18, 2027. All staff must. be at least 17 years old by May, 2027.
Returning Summer Staff:
Summer Staff who have worked previously and would like to return are required to go through the application process. All staff (including returning) are required to attend the above training/move in dates and become lifeguard certified. Any changes to previous time off and commitment expectations have been laid out in the returning staff application, please read carefully.

We want to help you get your required college internship credit while working at NGCC! Our staff position is moldable to fit the needs of your degree and to provide the experience you are looking for to help you succeed.
