PHASE 1 (DEANS’ QUARTERS)

Peaceful, wooded setting? Check. Vibe-y modern tiny house village? Check. A place to unplug, rest, and recover for the next day of camp? Check.

The (good) problem: NGCC has experienced such growth that we are running out of space to house the amazing volunteers who make camp happen!

The solution: We are building 4 small cabins to house the volunteer force on a piece of the newly donated property from the Sims family. This new campsite will grow into a “tiny house village” that will not only provide our volunteers with housing in the summer, but will provide a place for pastors and families to retreat throughout the year.

PHASE 2 (PREPARE THE WAY)

Camp-wide erosion control, repaving existing roads, and building new roads/parking areas to and for the future chapel site.

The (good) problem: With the creation of two new sites on campus (the tiny house village and the chapel), and with the increase of use on our roads over the years, our roads are in need of repair.

The solution: We will need to do extensive grading, erosion control, road repair, as well as build additional access roads.

PHASE 3 (NEW CHAPEL)

“A city on a hill,” the new camp chapel will be nestled into the side of our mountain, looking across the rest of the campus, and will become another beloved, sacred space for Christ to be discovered, to renew, and to transform.

The (good) problem: The Shelter, our current, beloved worship-meets-dodgeball-meets-craft room has served the camp wonderfully over the past 20 years, but campers, teachers, and camp equipment would benefit from a separate, designated place that would solely be used for worship and teaching.

The solution: A new, beautiful chapel located on the hillside overlooking the rest of campus, this site would become a place where Christ is discovered and experienced by all who enter. With additional bunk rooms and bathrooms, it will host specialty camps and camp staff.
